The first weekend of july have seen the Hermione made her first small journey on the Charente river.

15 years of perseverance paid off, as the amazing Hermione project became reality on Thanks to the boat-lock, the water gradually filled up the Louis XV dry dock in Rochefort, and the Hermione was finally freed from her keel-blocks.

This launching is a major event for Yacht Concept who has been ensuring both the project management and the engineering for the last five years; the reconstruction of this 18th century frigate is a real challenge, bringing together the many involved parties (Association Hermione Lafayette, companies and craftsmen, history experts, regulation authorities etc.) to achieve this new build as historically as possible whilst respecting 21st century regulations. Now that the Hermione is in her seconde dry dock she is going to receive her complete rigging and her modern equipment.
